Smart QR Scanner is built to decode QR codes and barcodes on your Android phone without sending scan contents to PikScan servers. Scan with the camera or from a gallery image.
Supported formats
QR codes, EAN, UPC, Code 128, PDF417, Data Matrix, and other common formats. After decoding, the app offers actions suited to the content type (URL, text, contact, etc.).
Steps to scan
- Install Smart QR Scanner from Google Play or the App Store.
- Open the app and allow camera access (or choose a gallery image).
- Frame the code: decoding uses on-device engines, including Google ML Kit.
- Review the result and use suggested actions; the entry is added to your local history.
Internet connection
Decoding the code itself does not require Internet. A connection may still be used for AdMob ads, optional app update checks, or when you open a web link contained in a scanned QR code.
Data and privacy
History stays on your phone. PikScan does not receive scan contents. Details: privacy policy.
