This guide walks through a typical workflow with Smart QR Scanner on Android or iOS: from install to history management. For a full feature overview, see the Product page.
1. Install the app
- Download Smart QR Scanner on Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS), then open the app.
- Launch the app from your home screen.
- On first launch, allow camera access if you want live scanning (optional for gallery-only use).
- No PikScan account is required to get started.
2. Scan a QR or barcode
- Open the Scanner screen (main tab or button).
- Frame the code in the viewfinder, or tap the gallery icon to analyze an existing photo.
- Decoding runs on device (Google ML Kit and local engines) — no Internet needed to read the code.
- Review the result and use suggested actions: open link, call, copy, share, etc.
- The entry is automatically added to your local history.
3. Create a QR code
- Open the Creator from the menu or dedicated tab.
- Choose a type: URL, text, Wi‑Fi, contact (vCard), email, SMS, or location.
- Enter content and preview the generated QR.
- Customize if needed: colors, frame, center logo.
- Export as PNG or save to history for later reuse.
4. Print a label sheet
- Open Label sheets (or Print section).
- Add your codes — up to 200 per sheet — from history or new creations.
- Select A4 or A5 format and configure the grid (columns × rows).
- Generate the PDF and share via the system share sheet to a printer, Drive, or another app.
- Print on adhesive paper or standard paper depending on your use case.
5. Manage history
- Open History to see all scans and creations.
- Use search to find an entry by content or type.
- Mark items as favorites for quick access.
- Delete entries you no longer need — the action is local and permanent on device.
- Reminder: history does not sync across phones via PikScan. Export or share anything you want to keep elsewhere.
